Access Your Life was founded by Felix and Lauren, who have firsthand experience of the challenges faced by people with disabilities, their families and carers.
Our original goal was to create a supportive community where anyone can share knowledge, seek advice, and connect with others who understand. To achieve this, we have established a disability led team committed to encouraging and empowering users to achieve a brighter, more independent future by providing the following support services:
Equipment Request Scheme - Designed to help users find the best mobility equipment to suit their individual needs and wants by connecting them with local partnered professionals, offering exclusive discounts, and securing funding through our Grant Assistance Scheme. To date, we've successfully helped over 200 users find the perfect wheelchairs and/or powered attachments by securing over £600,000 in funding.
Equipment Review Directory - Designed to enable users to make informed medical equipment purchases by providing unbiased information and authentic reviews, encouraging them to look beyond sales pitches.
Preloved Rehoming Service - Designed to connect users with suitable new homes for unwanted equipment in good condition, and to provide referrals to partnered professionals who can service this equipment to enhance its value.
Inclusive Community Blog - Designed to share different perspectives on disability-related topics from AYL team members, community users, and guest writers within the disability industry.
