James is 1st foremost Father, Dad and Daddy to amazingly beautiful children (Lynden and Grace). An Equality, Diversity, Inclusion (EDI) & Wellbeing Professional with over a decade of experience in the space. James is immensly passionate about embedding inclusive practice within early education and organisational cultures via #SpaceToTalk, previously nominated for Positive Role Model National Diversity Award in 2019 and 2021. James is a true EDI active ally in numerous spaces, championing for a range of characteristics and marginalised groups spanning LGBTQIA, Neurodivergence, Women’s Health, Disability inclusion, Socio Economic Deprivation and more!

A People & Wellbeing senior leader within NHS South Central and West (SCW), leading a programme towards ‘Belonging at SCW’; James epitomises inclusive leadership focused on individual wellbeing. In 2023 James won the prestigious Watercooler Wellbeing Inspirational Leadership ‘People’s Vote’ award. Outside of the NHS James is a Director and Co-founder (NXTGEN Learning LTD, #SpaceToTalk) and EDI Committee member at Nottingham Forest football club community trust.

James has increasingly featured as guest speaker, subject matter expert guest, keynote, panel, or speaker on the topic of EDI, Black Inclusion and Belonging, James has featured at such events like Fujifilm Healthcare Forum, Brave Leaders’ Summit, NHS Employers ‘Fostering Excellence in Tackling Inequality’ Culture Shift Annual Knowledge Forum and many more. James has also lectured at St Marys University, Twickenham London on Inclusive Marketing, highlighting the heights that can be achieved having never attended university higher education yet; being invited to teach within the same high level of educational institute.

James is also an active Mental Health advocate and has featured as guest on multiple Podcast exploring this subject and championing the work in this and more to be done in this space.
