Callum Carr

SHORTLISTED NOMINEE:

POSITIVE ROLE MODEL AWARD FOR AGE –

Callum founded South Tyneside Against Bullying in 2013 at the age of 14 due to a lack of support services in his local area and because of a number of teen suicides across the country. They provide around the clock crisis support to children, young people and adults who are impacted by bullying and abuse, and provide counselling to those who are self harming, suicidal and depressed. This impressive charity provides representation and advocacy to parents to ensure their voices are heard and action is taken against any bullying reported. Callum has took his anti bullying message overseas to the Philippines and Ireland educating hundreds of young people about anti bullying and internet safety. Recently, he attended parliament to provide evidence to a select committee to make online abuse against those with a disability a criminal offence. This amazing role model is encouraging young people to change the world.
