Cameron is 17 and was born with Cerebral Palsy. At 10 he joined a football club but was rarely picked for matches. This affected his confidence and self-esteem. He decided to focus on his martial art ’Silat’ becoming the first junior and adult black belt. His passion for football remained and at 15 he found Cerebral Palsy football and began playing for a Regional Cerebral Palsy Team. In 2017 he won an Adversity Award which inspired him to set up ‘Adversity United’ an under 12s disability football team. Cameron worked tirelessly with local businesses and media to support and promote the club. He now has 14 players who have developed and grown in confidence. With almost 300 endorsements Cameron features on this shortlist not just because of what he has achieved personally, but because of how he has helped others.
