2016 Positive Role Model Award for Race, Religion & Faith
Southampton based Radio Presenter and Entrepreneur Keesha Edwards has become a true inspiration to many through her drive and determination to succeed, despite suffering from many of life’s hardships. After facing a traumatic childhood, Keesha went on to become a mother at the young age of 14. Determined to provide her daughter with stability, Keesha continued her studies whilst undertaking a part time job. After completing her GCSE’s, and proceeding into college she surpassed all expectations and gained a degree in Counseling Psychology. After sadly losing her daughter unexpectedly at the age of 8, Keesha continued to be driven; volunteering in her local church, running Sunday school classes, assisting with local plays and charity events, and becoming a self employed concessions manager of Papa’s Popcorn. Keesha is an incredible role model who thoroughly deserves recognition.
