Over his 33 years of public service, Rob has made an unwavering contribution to the furthering of race equality and diversity within the Civil Service; in particular the Ministry of Justice and its predecessor organisation. The time, energy and passion Rob has given to tackling disproportionate outcomes for BAME colleagues is exceptional. He was a founding member of the BAME Staff network, P.R.O.U.D. and became the first elected Chair of the Civil Service Race Equality Network [CSREN] – known today as CSRF. Rob has consistently offered a voice of challenge to the Civil Service’s leadership and led the innovative Ministry of Justice Initiative Project Race; an inward facing programme of work aimed at supporting the MoJ’s published Diversity & Inclusion objectives and turning the dial on race equality. This remarkable individual has dedicated his public service life to diversity and inclusion.
