Star Reachers Community Initiative is on a mission to raise aspiration and break the cycle of black pupil under achievement in education and promote the overall well-being of African and BME children in Greater Manchester. They advocate for educational excellence and the strategic positioning of the black child because education is the gateway to opportunity, relief from poverty and upward social mobility for all communities. To achieve their aims, Star Reachers Community Initiative work with teachers, parents and young people of African and BME backgrounds within schools, community settings, faith organisations and events. This extraordinary organisation promote positive parenting skills to strengthen families as the first line of defense against child abuse, antisocial behaviour and mental health issues prevalent in BME communities.
