Dionne Da Costa is a deeply spiritual person who believes in spreading a message of peace and love. Diagnosed with a Mental Health condition in her 30’s and being of ethnic minority, Dionne has faced and tackled the social stigma and disadvantage of discrimination from society associated with Mental Health and race. She is now tirelessly campaigning to change policies within the social sector and help local communities in deprived areas of Liverpool. With a passion to tackle social issues, mental health and bipolar, Dionne has worked extensively within the fashion, film and TV industry, with her latest mental health film ‘Avidity’ receiving support from the Lord Mayor of Liverpool. Tackling core issues in the heart of the community and working with community leaders, Dionne’s positive impact has been recognised by the public after receiving a nomination and reaching the finals of the 2022 Positive Awards.
