Community Organisation Award: Race, Multi-Strand
Mula Cake Kids Club CIC is a non-profit children’s educational club. It’s workshop based, aimed at helping inspire young leaders ages 8-13. Based in Croydon, we make sure children don’t go hungry in the school holidays. Providing 3 hot meals a day (all families take home food packages). Not just a holiday club; it’s a combination of interactive entrepreneur workshops combining baking, business, sports etc. Workshops are led with the sole aim of providing children with the essential tools they need to bring their creativity/ideas to life. Children spend time developing life skills (using balance sheets/ exercise/ garden) alongside engaging in collaborative activities i.e. learning to cook using food from growing projects on site. Our students from last summer are now young business owners and are still attending the club to update their learning which brings the team immense joy!
