Autistic FC was the brainchild of founder Charlie McCartney. After struggling at a mainstream team, Charlie began to create his dream team, a safe environment for autistic children to be themselves. Inclusion, football for all, opportunity, and understanding are just some of the things Autistic FC live and breathe. They ensure their children not only have a seat at the table but have a voice to showcase their passion and love for the game. Their vision is to make inclusive football more widely available across the UK with the endeavour of being the gold standard of inclusivity. Autistic FC launched a social media campaign involving clubs throughout the leagues focussed around #footballforall, and have featured on Newsround, Sky Sports, and BBC live. This amazing club empower children to be proud of their skillset, allowing them to progress into senior players and perhaps coaching roles eventually.
