Positive Role Model Award: Disability
Founder of ‘More Mascots Please CIC’ (MMP), Ceri Davies BEM is on a tireless crusade to bring smiles to the faces of disabled and disadvantaged children. Severely disabled with four neurological conditions including Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Tethered Cord and Scoliosis, Ceri founded ‘More Mascots Please’ to support disabled, disadvantaged and life limited children, young people, and their families. Raising over £64,000 since it’s inception, MMP has supported over 1,000 children, bringing joy to those in less fortunate circumstances through their playful and wonderful Mascot and Superhero experiences. Described as a ‘fierce disability activist’ and a ‘champion for those who live with disabilities’, Ceri’s outstanding contributions have seen her awarded a plethora of accolades including a British Empire Medal in the Queens Birthday Honours List 2020, Aston Villa Community Champion and Golden Princess Diana Award.
