Dr Helen Webberley is a doctor and Founder of GenderGP - a service that gives transgender people access to advice, support, healthcare, knowledge and education. In current times where many trans people are suffering from extreme prejudice and discrimination, Dr Webberley has stood up against fierce opposition to fight for what she knows to be right. Trans people deserve nothing less that true equality in all walks of life and they deserve the opportunity to live their lives authentically and in a way that maximises their health and wellbeing. Dr Webberley’s unwavering support of transgender teenagers has been very public, and her fight for trans youth to have recognition and rights in the UK and beyond has been a huge focus of her work. Never shy to stand up for this cause, she is a fierce advocate for the transgender community.
