Positive Role Model Award: Gender
A vocal male ally for gender equity, Lee Chambers actively works with young males to create spaces to discuss positive masculinity and role models. Founder of Essentialise Workplace Wellbeing – a black, disabled-led wellbeing and inclusion consultancy, Lee brings together his knowledge and lived experience to support organisations looking to create equitable cultures, psychologically safe spaces, and effective wellbeing strategies. His extensive work has seen him deliver male allyship training for organisations such as Soho House, Amazon and BAE Systems, become one of only a few prominent male figures involved in political menopause campaigning, and he launched Black STEM Futures for Black female STEM graduates to support them in their careers – an initiative that has tripled in size. Lee is an integral part of influencing the next generation to call out inequity and be part of changing things for the better.
