In 2011 a group of new dads looking for ways to spend more time with their babies set up their own playgroup in a café in Leeds City Centre. Almost 12 years on and they're opening their doors to hundreds of other dads in the city. Leeds Dads is a charitable organisation that brings together a diverse community of fathers for social interaction and support. This superb organisation runs free preschool playgroups for dads and children, where approx. 50 dads/granddads meet to enjoy art/craft, games, a singalong and storytime. In addition, they organise social events, breakfast clubs, walks and signpost towards expert parenting support. Their DADTASTIC DAY is a mass celebration of free family fun that attracts over 2500 dads, mums, grandparents, and carers every year on Father's Day. Leeds Dads have over 7,000 followers and is in direct contact with over 500 dads every month.
