Movema is a community dance charity celebrating diversity through world dance, creating safe spaces for communities to come together and create meaningful connections. Run by three female artists from diverse cultural backgrounds, Movema works in some of the most deprived areas in Liverpool and Bristol, engaging approximately 8,000 people each year through their classes, workshops, performances and events. Movema provide high quality arts and cultural experiences and deliver learning projects, including school programmes and employment and development opportunities for professional and emerging diverse dance artists. At the centre of their work is a commitment to celebrating diverse dance forms, spreading a message of unity and reaching out to transform the lives of those most in need.
