Social media influencer, model and motivational public speaker, Ruth Spurr actively utilises her global platform to raise vital awareness of chronic illnesses. Suffering with several life limiting illnesses, including a rare genetic tissue connective disorder which causes multi-systemic problems throughout her body, Ruth has had to battle long and hard spending time in intensive care and undergoing multiple lifesaving surgeries. Despite this, Ruth remains positive and through her online community shares her inspirational and authentic journey documenting everything from medical appointments, hospital, and home life to daily adventures with Willow her assistance dog. With a passion to change perceptions of disability, Ruth is determined to show the world that those with disabilities, hidden or otherwise, are here and deserve to be seen and heard just like anyone else.
