Community Organisation Award: Multi-Strand
Stepping UP is a multi-award-winning diversity leadership programme that aims to change the lives and careers for under-represented groups including Black, Asian and Minoritized Communities, Women, Disabled, and LGBTQI+ and helps them step into positions of leadership. Stepping Up Community programmes aim to support individuals from under-represented groups to access work experience and employment. Since its launch by Baroness McGregor-Smith and Mayor of Bristol, Marvin Rees at international Law Firm Osborne Clarke in January 2018, over 640 participants have completed the award-winning programmes. The impact has been far reaching within Bristol City Council and partner organisations across the South West. Over 100 mentors from organisations such as Google, Microsoft and Deloitte have delivered 700 hours of support to participants. 70% of all Stepping UP participants have stepped up into leadership roles.
