Steve has had a lifetime connection with boxing and was also involved with Orion Harriers as U/13 girls athletics manager. Now working as a site manager for Hillhouse Primary School he is very much involved in all aspects of school life. His 3 daughters have all achieved County and national success in sport and graduated to become teachers. Welcoming individuals from all diverse groups, Steve has built a tight knit community bonded by the love of sport and respect for one another and has become involved in the training of LGBT athletes, creating a safe space at the Sparta gym in Chingford for them to train, feel respected and counted. Steve is an unsung hero in his own right, helping kids and adults from all walks of life understand that they have a place in boxing, running, the community and beyond.
