Whizz Kidz is the UK’s leading charity for young wheelchair users. Their vision is a society where every young wheelchair user is mobile, enabled and included. Kidz Board are the campaigning group of 10-12 wheelchair users aged 16-25 at the heart of the charity. They volunteer their time to ensure the lived experiences of the young people they represent across the UK influence every important decision Whizz Kidz makes. They are passionate about challenging perceptions and raising awareness of the issues that affect young wheelchair users daily, like their manifesto topics: accessibility, diversity and inclusion, education, employment, and travel. To do this, they consult with businesses, industry leaders, charities, and community groups to raise awareness and highlight areas for improvement, collaborating on projects to influence solutions. The Kidz Board make a real difference to young wheelchair users.
