Adam Zane is a theatre maker, educator, and activist whose work is rooted in his lived experience as a neurodivergent, gay man of mixed heritage and Muslim upbringing. After appearing in Queer as Folk, Adam founded Hive North to challenge stereotypes and centre authentic LGBTQ+ voices. His work includes Be More Martyn, Outloud—the UK’s longest-running anti-homophobia schools play—and OutStageUs, a festival for emerging queer writers. His plays tackle hate crime, HIV stigma, and mental health, reaching thousands across the UK. Adam leads Hive Youth Theatre and mentors young creatives, offering inclusive, empowering spaces. He is also an ambassador for George House Trust. Through storytelling, Adam continues to inspire change, support visibility, and create a more inclusive future for LGBTQ+ communities. His mission is clear: to make theatre a tool for equity, empathy, and transformation.
