David is an Autistic, ADHD, and Schizophrenic advocate who has been sober from addiction for nine years. Now a published author, academic contributor, and mentor, David is committed to improving life for neurodivergent individuals navigating a world not built for them. He co-founded the Autistic Substance Use Network and conducts pioneering research to support Autistic people struggling with addiction. His work features in academic texts on double empathy and neuroqueer theory. David mentors Autistic people of all ages and works as an independent advocate, ensuring their rights and wellbeing are prioritised. With multiple books to his name, a growing global audience, and a deeply compassionate approach rooted in lived experience, David’s mission is simple yet profound: to be the person he once needed during his darkest moments and to create a world where no one feels alone.
