In Focus Education & Development CIO is a Southampton-based charity dedicated to empowering young people through inclusive, hands-on photography and visual arts education. Since 2015, In Focus has supported vulnerable and under-represented youth, including those who are LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, disabled, or from marginalised socioeconomic backgrounds, by offering creative personal development in safe, affirming environments. Their work centres on building confidence, well-being, and life skills through alternative education, exhibitions, and creative residencies. With support from partners like Arts Council England and The National Lottery, they deliver impactful programmes across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Notable initiatives include DSLR weekly workshops, the Jane Austen residency, and youth-led exhibitions like They Will Not Take You Seriously. Led by a diverse team with lived experience, In Focus ensures that every young person feels heard, valued, and empowered to shape their own future.
