2025 Shortlisted Nominee
Positive Role Model Award: Age
Katie Killick is a second-year law student, social media creator, and founder of Chronic Youth CIC, a nonprofit for young people living with chronic illness. Diagnosed with multiple conditions as a teenager, Katie turned her personal struggles into purpose. In 2024, she began sharing her story online, reaching over 7.3 million people and creating a platform for others who often go unheard. Moved by the global response, she launched Chronic Youth, which supports people aged 0–30, especially those stuck between children’s and adult services. Its first project delivered cards and care packages to young people across the UK. Katie has since spoken at Naidex, Europe’s largest disability expo, and is leading her CIC’s transition to charity status. Through honesty and community-building, Katie is changing the narrative around chronic illness, making sure no young person feels invisible or alone.
