Community Organisation Award: Race, Religion & Faith
KeshetUK is the UK’s only education and training charity dedicated to supporting LGBT+ inclusion within Jewish communities. Founded to ensure no one is forced to choose between their Jewish and LGBT+ identities, KeshetUK works across Jewish schools, youth organisations, synagogues, and community groups, delivering tailored training and curricula. Since 2014, KeshetUK has trained over 100 teachers, engaged 4,000+ students annually, and partnered with 14 youth organisations to embed LGBT+ inclusion. It has also delivered training to community leaders, rabbis, and communal organisations across diverse Jewish denominations, including Orthodox spaces, building trust and fostering change sensitively. KeshetUK’s unique approach “calls people in” to create safe, inclusive environments, exemplified by co-authoring the world’s first guide on LGBT+ wellbeing in Orthodox Jewish schools with the Chief Rabbi. Their work has transformed Jewish communities, empowering LGBT+ Jews to live authentically and reducing stigma across the UK.
