Community Organisation Award: LGBT
A registered CIC, Marching Out Together is the official LGBTQ+ supporters group of Leeds United FC, founded in 2017 to create a safe, visible and inclusive space for LGBTQ+ fans. The group works closely with the club (including within schools and community groups) to challenge discrimination, support awareness campaigns, and promote diversity in football and beyond. They’ve made history with players marching at Leeds Pride, commissioned a public mural, and helped Leeds United win the Football v Homophobia Award. With over 430 members, they host pre-match meetups, have a high profile flag on display in the ground, and their scarves are worn every match by fans. They are active members of a regional alliance of LGBT+ fan groups and are regularly visible at key events in Leeds promoting diversity - working to ensure football is for everyone.
