One of the UK’s first Asian Indian police officers, Mick became known for his selfless service, including making a terminally ill child’s Disney World dream come true. Now 72, he remains a quiet force for good, funding food, heating repairs, holidays, and essentials for struggling individuals via the 'Nextdoor' platform. From gifting mobile phones to organising festive giveaways, seaside trips, and surprise cash prizes, Mick’s generosity brings joy and relief to hundreds. His help extends to the homeless and vulnerable, including court support and medical transport for disabled residents. Despite long working hours, he funds all acts of kindness from his own wages. Mick’s motto—Smile, Enjoy, and Be Happy—beautifully reflects a life devoted to empathy, dignity, and action.
