The Proud Trust is a national LGBTQ+ youth charity dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQ+ young people across the UK. With roots in Manchester’s queer youth activism since the 1970s, they offer youth groups, one-to-one support, mentoring, and national services like their live chat. Their impact includes launching The Proud Place, Manchester’s LGBTQ+ community centre, and creating the Rainbow Flag Award and Trans Inclusion Toolkit to make schools safer and more inclusive. Committed to intersectional inclusion, they ensure all events and spaces are accessible, sober, and welcoming. Their work empowers young people to thrive, build confidence, and feel proud of who they are.
