West Yorkshire ADHD2025 Shortlisted Nominee
Community Organisation Award: Disability

West Yorkshire ADHD Support Group is a lived-experience-led organisation empowering neurodivergent individuals and families across the region. With all staff and volunteers personally connected to ADHD, their approach is rooted in deep understanding and trust. They provide peer support groups, youth programmes, expert-led educational advocacy, benefits guidance, and transformative ADHD-specific parenting courses. Specialist ADHD Navigators offer one-on-one guidance across local authority areas, helping families navigate complex systems like EHCPs and tribunals. With over 7,000 online members and regular in-person sessions, the group offers connection, compassion, and practical help. Their work is improving family well-being, reducing stigma, and fostering independence in young people. By creating spaces where neurodiversity is recognised as a strength—not a barrier—they’re challenging stereotypes and building inclusive communities. West Yorkshire ADHD is not just supporting a community; it is the community, and its impact is life-changing.
