Craig Henderson is the founder of Craig’s Barbershop in Bolton, created to make haircuts more accessible for disabled and neurodivergent people who may struggle in traditional barbershop settings. Through patience, trust and understanding, Craig adapts each appointment around the individual, working closely with families and allowing children to progress at their own pace. His approach has helped many achieve their first successful haircut, turning a previously distressing experience into one that builds confidence, independence and dignity. Craig also delivers workshops to improve accessibility across the hair industry. His work has been nationally recognised, including the NHS Community Champion Award and The Sunday Times Alternative Honours List.
