Community Organisation Award: Gender
Female Veterans Alliance CIC is a national, volunteer‑led organisation championing women who have served in the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force. Founded in 2022 by RAF veterans Kelly Farr and Lisa Rawlings, FVA emerged from the recognition that female veterans are often overlooked in research, policy and traditional veteran spaces. What began as one informal gathering has grown into a UK‑wide sisterhood delivering research workshops, wellbeing retreats, peer support, social events and community activities. Hundreds of women have shared experiences that now shape gender‑specific support for veterans. Built alongside full‑time careers and family life, FVA is led by two nationally recognised advocates whose motto, Championing women who have served, guides everything they do.
