Fighting With Pride (FWP) is the UK’s only military charity dedicated to addressing the legacy of the ‘Gay Ban’ and restoring dignity, recognition and support to LGBTQ+ veterans forced from service between 1967 and 2000. Founded in 2020 by Craig Jones MBE and Caroline Paige MBE, FWP has ended decades of silence through national campaigning, delivering trauma‑informed support and driving systemic change across the Armed Forces. As the primary interlocutor for the Etherton Review, FWP mobilised over 1,100 testimonies leading to 49 government‑accepted recommendations and a formal state apology. Today, FWP supports veterans, serving personnel and families, ensuring authenticity and service can coexist with pride.
