GLADCA, founded in 1972, GLADCA (Gladstone District Community Association) is one of Peterborough's longest-established grassroots organisations, dedicated to breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for diverse communities. GLADCA supports over 11,000 beneficiaries annually from more than 75 nationalities, delivering education, employability, digital inclusion, immigration, welfare advice, health and wellbeing programmes, sports initiatives, homelessness support, and crisis and food provision. Empowering migrants, refugees, asylum seekers, marginalised communities, disadvantaged residents, GLADCA champions integration, equality, and community cohesion. For over five decades, GLADCA has transformed the lives of tens of thousands of people, reducing inequalities, building stronger, inclusive communities, enabling people from all backgrounds to thrive, contribute positively and improve their quality of life.
