Positive Role Model Award: LGBT
Jordan Chan is a dedicated LGBTQ+ activist, volunteer and community organiser. He serves as a director for multiple Pride organisations, including Trans Pride Kent and Queer Kent Life. He has raised thousands of pounds to create safe spaces and events supporting LGBTQ+ people across Kent, particularly in Swale. Through Queer Kent Life, he has connected over 300,000 people to events, services and resources. Jordan also fundraises for HIV charities, champions inclusive sport as Kent Cricket and Kent Tennis’ first LGBTQ+ ambassador, founded Kent’s first LGBTQ+ cricket team, and works with local leaders, charities and community organisations to protect and uplift LGBTQ+ communities across Kent.
