Pete Wharmby is an autistic and ADHD author, speaker and advocate working to improve global understanding of neurodivergence. Diagnosed autistic in 2017 and ADHD in 2024, he focuses particularly on supporting autistic young people and raising awareness of the mental health challenges many neurodivergent people face. A former secondary school English teacher and parent of a neurodivergent child, Pete has worked internationally with charities, schools, businesses and government, speaking at SEND reform rallies and parliamentary committees. He is the author of What I Want to Talk About (2022), Untypical (2023) and Different Minds (2026).
