Queer & Now CIC is a volunteer‑run, not‑for‑profit organisation creating safe, joyful and judgement‑free spaces for LGBTQIA+ folk on the Isle of Wight. Founded by a posse of queer islanders who recognised the isolation caused by a lack of dedicated social spaces, the group began with pop‑up gay bars and quickly grew into a thriving community network. In 2025, Queer & Now secured permanent premises, Dorothy’s, the Island’s first and only queer community hub, enabling expanded events, outreach and support. With over 100 social gatherings delivered since 2023, Queer & Now provide connection and belonging through cabarets, film nights, celebrations and unapologetically queer community activities.
