David Gray-Hammond is an Autistic, ADHD, and Schizophrenic man in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction (now 9 years sober). Since turning his life around he has published multiple books on autism, neurodiversity, and mental health.

He co-founded the Autistic Substance Use Network and through this conducts academic research to improve the lives of Autistic Substance users. He has contributed chapters to two textbooks on the topics of Double Empathy and neuroqueer theory.

David works mentoring Autistic people of all ages to improve their wellbeing and quality of life, he also works as an independent advocate, making sure that Autistic people have their rights met.

He is an advocate, father, mentor, author, and the goal of his work is to be the person he once needed when he was struggling.
