Dr Lakshman (Lucky) Ganatra

Nominee Profile
Location: Sutton Coldfield
I’m Dr. Lakshman "Lucky" Ganatra, a Clinical Psychologist and founder of Evolving Families. I’ve always believed that psychology should be a force for social good. I didn’t set out just to build a business, I wanted to create a service that made people feel seen, supported, and genuinely understood. That meant offering psychological care that is evidence-based, but goes beyond this and is also positive, affirming, and strengths-focused.
We support families navigating neurodiversity, trauma, and complex systems, people who are often overlooked or misunderstood. Too many services focus only on what’s ‘wrong’; we help people recognise what’s strong.
Our work is grounded in compassion, cultural awareness, and co-production. We support everyone from children in care to adults exploring their neurodivergent identity. A lot of what we do bridges the gap between systems, between diagnoses, between people and their sense of self.
I’m proud to work alongside a diverse, passionate team of clinicians who care deeply. I’ve worked hard to create a place where staff feel safe, supported, and can grow, because I believe services should lift up the people working in them as much as those we serve.
I’m also training as a paediatric neuropsychologist to deepen our impact, particularly for neurodivergent children in care.
Outside of work, I stay active in both my local and cultural communities, always striving to bridge stigma and increase understanding.
At its core, Evolving Families is about creating something better for clients, staff, and the systems we touch. Being nominated for this award is an honour and a celebration of that mission.
