Holly Hostettler-Davies
Nominee Profile
Location: Bridgend
I am a gender equality advocate with a passion for dismantling the stigma, silence, and injustice that too often surrounds women’s health and rights. I have spent the past five years working across grassroots activism, national legal reform, and international policy. This is all driven by one mission, ensuring that every girl and young woman has the knowledge, confidence, and power to make decisions about her own body and future.
In 2024, I became the first Youth Adviser to the UK Government at the United Nations Commission on Population and Development, where I championed adolescent SRHR, including financing services, access to contraception and comprehensive sex education. I have also contributed to national legal reform through Plan International UK’s Crime Not Compliment campaign, which helped criminalise public sexual harassment in England and Wales.
Beyond policy, I created spaces where young people, particularly girls, can lead change. I founded the Menstrual Health Project’s Youth Board, led the creation of FlowFest, a menstrual wellbeing festival, and have delivered SRHR education to hundreds of young people across the UK and Ghana. My work centres the experiences of young women and aims to lift others as I climb.
I believe representation is powerful, and this award would not just honour my work, it would amplify the voices, causes, and communities I represent every day.
