Nominee Profile

Location: Liverpool
Maria Anna Furman is a journalist, media producer, social campaign initiator, and advocate of intercultural dialogue. For years, she has been actively working to promote diversity, counteract hate speech, and amplify the voices of minorities and women in the public sphere. She has lived in the United Kingdom for the past nine years.

She is the founder and CEO of Wyspa TV, a media platform that combines broadcasting activity with a social and educational mission. As the leader of this initiative, she creates a space for promoting inspiring stories, supporting entrepreneurship, and fostering social responsibility. Wyspa TV produces original programs, video campaigns, and event coverage, contributing to intergenerational and intercultural integration.

In 2022, she launched the intercultural initiative Stars Night Awards, an annual event that honours individuals and organisations positively impacting local communities. The gala at the historic Royal Liver Building in Liverpool gathers representatives of various nationalities and backgrounds, promoting values such as integration, respect, diversity, and mutual understanding.

In response to the growing phenomenon of hate speech, she also established a space for social dialogue and education – the STOP HATE! – MOTIVATE! Project. As part of this initiative, she organises workshop-based conferences for all those affected by hate speech, focusing on empathy, communication, and combating verbal violence. The campaign, also developed in English, addresses the real challenges faced by minorities and migrant communities.

Maria Anna Furman is also the author of "The Laws of Success in a Nutshell", a modern adaptation of Napoleon Hill’s philosophy. She consistently combines media tools with the vision of personal growth and meaningful social impact.
