DK is a 57yr old GSRD psychotherapist (gender, sex, relationship diversities), supervisor, author and educator, who lives and works within those communities. He works with intersectionalities of LGBTQIA+, CNM (consensual non-monogamy), kink, tantra, sex workers, neurodivergence, chronic illness/disability, racial and cultural difference, and more. In private practice he has accrued over 8,000 clinical hours of client work, as well as having previously provided counselling for the mental health charity MIND.
He has stepped fees according to income; born of a desire to take therapy from the realms of affluent leisure pursuit and out to the grass roots of these communities. He lives, breathes and thrives himself within these communities as a polyamorous, pansexual, leather (kink), transgender man.
His joy and passion in life - as an older professional trans man - is to help others to achieve self-development, growth, and a joy of living as ones truly authentic and autonomous self.
His personal life reflects this inner drive, being the 'go to' person in such communities, going above and beyond the call of duty in all aspects of community life; whether that be helping someone move house, find accommodation/work/financial help, a car ride or hospital visit in the middle of the night, or providing a spare room when crisis hits. He is widely known as a fount of GSRD knowledge and experience, who is always willing to help.
He has educated prolifically via workshops, webinars and keynote speeches at events, podcasts and even in the Observer, locally, nationally and internationally, particularly in regards to gender, kink, and consensual/ethical non-monogamy.
He is a Clinical Associate for Pink Therapy, and has written the chapter on ENM/CNM for their educational book for therapists 'Relationally Queer', as well as authoring their ENM/CNM online training for therapists.
