Gifted at 3, Nadine Rostom is an engineer, thought leader, & advocate redefining what it means to be a woman in STEM. Of Lebanese origin, she became the first woman & youngest in the Middle East to graduate with a Master’s in Computer & Communication Engineering with distinction at 20. This defied societal expectations & laid the foundation for a life of impact.
In 2017, Nadine became the first Lebanese selected from 5,000+ global applicants to join Airbus. Facing few female role models in aerospace, she set out to be the change she wished to see, challenging norms & championing equity.
She was among the founders of Women in Aviation & Aerospace Charter (WiAAC), launched in 2018 with support from former PM Theresa May & Airbus. As a Steering Board facilitator, she shaped government engagement strategy, led national conferences, & embedded inclusion across the sector. Her influence shaped WiAAC growth from 50 to 255 signatories. Today, she represents Airbus on WiAAC’s Research & Reporting WP1, ensuring accountability. Her advocacy expanded through Women in Defence Charter launch & organisation of IAWA Leadership Forums across Europe, fostering global progress for women in leadership.
