Nominee Profile
Location: London
ORA is an accessible transport innovation company on a mission to close the transport accessibility gap. We provide nationwide flexible accessible transport service.
Launched just over a year ago, we’ve already served over 1,000 customers and received glowing reviews on Trustpilot—because accessibility, flexibility, and community are at the core of everything we do.
Our vision is simple but ambitious: to create a world where everyone can move freely and independently. We believe accessibility isn’t just a bolt-on feature—it’s the foundation of a better tomorrow. And we’re building it today.
We started with the basics. Our first initiative was the launch of a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) rental service, shaped directly by the voices and experiences of over 1,000 wheelchair users. From vehicle types to booking processes, every element was designed with flexibility and real-life use in mind. We listened then—and we continue to listen now. Our customer panels guide our decision-making, keeping us accountable and grounded in what people actually need, not what the market assumes.
We’re also developing a tech platform that will act as the backbone for a new kind of accessible travel ecosystem—one that’s designed to scale. We’re building products and services to enable 15 million accessible trips a year by 2030, from WAVs to airport mobility services and beyond. By 2040, we aim to be the world’s leading platform for accessible transport.
