Segun Akinwoleola

Hey, I’m Segun Akinwoleola, an entrepreneur, speaker, and passionate advocate for diversity in FMCG. As the Founder of The Gym Kitchen, my mission has always been to make healthy eating affordable, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone. From launching in a single category to now being stocked in major supermarkets across multiple product lines, I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come. But for me, this journey is about more than just business, t’s about breaking barriers and creating real change.

With over 15 years of experience working with brands like Coty, Revlon, John Frieda, and The Black Farmer, I’ve seen firsthand the gaps in the industry. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to challenge the status quo, ensuring that more people, regardless of background, have a seat at the table. Through my work as a board member of the Black Business Association and Advisor on Tesco’s Black Action Plan, I’ve been able to drive meaningful conversations around diversity, inclusion, and representation.

Beyond business, I’m dedicated to mentorship and community impact, working with Middlesex FA to support underprivileged youth, speaking at universities, and inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs.
