Sunrise diversity is a charity dedicated to creating community cohesion and ending discrimination. We offer a wide range of services, activities, events and training designed for everyone in North Devon.
Our commitment is to ensure that individuals from all backgrounds- including Black and other diverse ethnic communities, as well as those who identify as LGBTQIA+ are safe, respected, and valued. By celebrating and embracing diversity, we strive to create an inclusive atmosphere where every person is welcomed and supported.
We celebrate diversity in all its forms and bring it to the forefront in our communities. Celebrating our differences creates lasting change in the lives of everyone in the community.
We challenge discrimination towards diverse individuals, those who experience racism, structural and societal inequalities, and actively work towards equity for all.
We change attitudes by bringing out the best in people across the community, for positive conversations and connections with all individuals.
We provide free, confidential support for adults (18+) in North Devon and Torridge, with a focus on those who are ethnically diverse, migrants (EU and non-EU), refugees, asylum seekers, or from LGBTQIA+ communities.
We also proactively run outdoor and indoor events throughout the year, as well as teaching English lessons, hosting meet and greet groups for specific communities such as LGBTQIA+. We are a safe and confidential place where you can be heard and supported.
