Andreea Salvage is a community advocate and cultural mediator committed to advancing inclusion, safeguarding, and representation for Eastern European and Roma communities in the UK. Following her own repatriation journey, she has dedicated her work to bridging gaps between communities and institutions, building trust, and promoting equitable access to services.
In Hull, she has played a key role in supporting the development and visibility of Romanian Orthodox services, strengthening community cohesion and access to faith for over 5,000 people. Her work extends into tackling exploitation and safeguarding vulnerabilities, including collaboration with the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority on initiatives linked to the Responsible Car Wash Scheme to raise awareness of modern slavery.
Andreea also works voluntarily with UK and Romanian authorities to address domestic violence and improve cross-border safeguarding responses. As a member of the European Citizens Network, she supports European citizens navigating their rights post-Brexit.
More recently, she has become a cancer ambassador, founding a peer support group following a successful community cancer awareness initiative.
