Cross Culture Hub
Nominee Profile
Location: Southampton
Cross-Culture Hub CIC is a community-driven social enterprise dedicated to empowering people from diverse backgrounds and promoting inclusion within British society. We provide a safe, welcoming and supportive space where individuals of all ages and cultures can learn new skills, build confidence, improve wellbeing and form meaningful social connections.
Our work focuses on removing barriers such as language, isolation, digital exclusion and lack of access to health information. Through skill-building classes in sewing, embroidery, fabric printing, crafts and digital skills, we help participants gain practical abilities that support independence, volunteering and employment opportunities.
We bring communities together through cross-cultural meal-sharing, creative workshops and intergenerational projects that celebrate diversity and encourage understanding between generations and cultures. In partnership with the University of Southampton, we also deliver digital inclusion projects to improve online confidence for people facing financial or age-related barriers.
Our cancer and health awareness sessions provide culturally sensitive education and encourage early screening and access to healthcare, helping to save lives and improve wellbeing.
We also support families through clothing repair, upcycling and cost-of-living guidance, promoting sustainability while helping people save money and care for the environment.
Through connection, creativity and collaboration, Cross-Culture Hub is building stronger, healthier and more inclusive communities in Southampton.
