Georgina Colman
Nominee Profile
Location: Hampshire
Georgina Colman is the disabled founder of Purpl, the UK’s first money-saving platform designed to help people with disabilities and long-term health conditions offset the extra costs they face each month.
Since launching in July 2024, Purpl has grown rapidly to over 100,000 members, helping the community save more than £2 million. Georgina has worked hard to secure partnerships with well-known brands such as Morrisons and Dunelm, alongside a wide range of other national and independent businesses.
Purpl is more than just a discount platform. It offers advice and signposting to support the community, as well as a private members group where people can feel seen, heard, and connected to others with similar experiences.
The platform also champions disabled entrepreneurs and supports disability-focused charities. In April this year, Purpl launched its Community Grant Fund, marking the first step towards a future foundation aimed at providing additional support to those who need it most.
