Positive Role Model Award for Disability

Nominee Profile

Location: Greater Manchester
I am an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Co‑ordinator and my work champions disability inclusion and neurodiversity across Manchester Airport Group (MAG) and wider. In my role at MAG, I work closely with six colleague communities, supporting their committees, amplifying colleague voices and ensuring inclusion is embedded into our everyday workplace culture. Intersectionality plays a key part in what I do.

I lead on key EDI initiatives across our airports, collaborating with various functions and teams to influence policy, strengthen data and drive meaningful, practical change for our disabled and neurodivergent colleagues.

Co-creating MAG’s first Neurodiversity Toolkits, along with the 'Neurodiversity Hub', including resources, colleague story videos, eLearning and more, has been a real highlight. These resources are helping leaders/ teams build confidence, increase understanding and provide more consistent support. I also enjoy creating and developing workshops, such as the Neurodiversity workshops delivered during Neurodiversity Celebration Week, and hosting the Hidden Disability Panel, now accessible to our 7000+ colleagues.

Alongside my internal work, I am privileged to contribute externally by sharing knowledge and lived experience, for example, speaking at the BASE Business Summit: Disability Confidence in Action at Wembley Stadium, alongside many other fantastic opportunities to contribute to events and panels.

My passion for disability inclusion extends beyond my work. I actively support my local community through volunteering and fundraising, including working with charities such as the MS Society.

Driven by lived experience and a deep commitment to equity, my aim is always to create safer, more inclusive environments, where disabled and neurodivergent people, like me, feel seen and valued.
