Kenilworth Town Football and Netball Club (KT) exists for one simple reason: to give every child, young person and adult in our community the chance to play sport, feel they belong, and grow together in a safe, welcoming environment.
Founded in 1891, KT has always been rooted in Kenilworth. Over the last three years, under new leadership, the club has been transformed into a truly inclusive, family‑centred community hub — where fun, friendship and opportunity come before results or ability.
During this time, membership has grown from around 130 to nearly 600 players, from U7s through to adults and veterans, across around 30 football teams and 13 netball teams. This growth isn’t about numbers — it’s about opening doors and connecting people not just to sport, but to confidence, friendship and joy.
Just three years ago, there were no girls playing sport at KT and very few women involved in running the club. Today, we proudly support around 250 girls playing every week, led by over 30 women coaches and leaders across football and netball. For many, KT has been their first experience of team sport — and for some families, their first feeling of truly belonging.
KT is run entirely by passionate volunteers — parents, coaches, administrators and helpers — who give their time to ensure no one is excluded, whether due to background, confidence, finances or ability. We work hard to remove barriers to participation, because we believe sport should be accessible to everyone.
Beyond the pitch and court, KT is a true community club. We support local schools, community initiatives and charities, raising over £10,000 for local causes in the past two years alone.
Everything we do is grounded in care for our community and pride in watching it grow.
