Nominee Profile

Location: London
Living Christ Mission UK (LCM UK) is a faith-based charity dedicated to the provision of personalised support to its community regardless of age, gender, race, religion or nationality. We believe everyone is a believer in something and it takes a sheer amount of faith to subscribe to a purpose higher than oneself. For many in our community who share a common belief and faith, we offer the nutrients for strengthening faith: a community of fellow faithfuls, help for time in need, support and counselling, and the selfless desire to spread the good works outside our community regardless of origin, background, language or belief.

Founded in 1996 and rooted in Edmonton, North East London, Living Christ Mission UK is a registered faith-based charity whose work has grown from a local community fellowship into an internationally recognised force for humanitarian development, social inclusion, and holistic empowerment. While our community spreads across Europe, America, and Sub-Saharan Africa, our heartbeat and purpose still remains where it has always been in the streets, homes, schools, and lives of the most underserved communities, around our neighbourhood and beyond.
Practical as we are, the words of St. James who declared that “Faith without works is dead” steady rings true as a north star guiding our mission. Since our earliest days, we have maintained both a theological and humanitarian commitment to leave no one behind — a principle that predates, and now aligns with, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goals 2, 3, 4 and 17, which cover food security, good health, quality education and global partnerships.

LCM UK stands within its circle as a practical practitioner of inclusion. In the Enfield community, where it operates, it peacefully coexists within a multi-faith and non-faith environment. Its volunteers, leaders, beneficiaries and partners comprise diverse nationalities, cultural traditions, and faith backgrounds and are taught the golden principle of treating with respect, others whom we wish to receive respect from. Our community comprises children, grandparents, recent arrivals and long-settled residents, the academically accomplished and those who never had access to formal education. They gather weekly —to strengthen faith, sweeten care and share progress, having found in LCM UK a space that celebrates difference rather than merely tolerating it.
The breadth of LCM UK's programming is one of its most distinctive features. Its support spans four core pillars: education and training, public health and wellbeing, food relief and poverty alleviation, and community engagement and social inclusion. It approaches each with the same conviction that none can truly flourish while remaining deficient in one dimension of need.

Ultimately, our mission is to be here for the long run. And to continuously prove the time-tested excellence, peace and progress that can come through intertwining faith, meaningful support and human resource development.
